I agree it isn't so in all circumstances, but I believe I an right in this specific case. I did consider this and check it out before that post.
The trialling WBC new IP Profiling system is not applicable on non-WBC exchanges, and on only some WBC ones. This is a non-WBC exchange.
I think I am also right in saying that Sky Connect is an ADSL Max service, (perhaps IPSC on non-WBC exchanges), or ADSL(1) profile on WBC ones these days. So given that and the exchange I concluded the stepped system applied in this case.
The only way to be certain though, as you say, is to see the IP Profile.
The first time I properly picked up on the new system was here, in the link on jwilson's post that I was replying to. There had been many strange IP Profiles in BT speed tests for months previously. I have posted about it a few times since. (Example).
(And I thought I had updated my website's IP Profile page long ago about this, but no!
What I have noticed is that in early days it seemed to be a different percentage to what it is now. Have you noticed that, as I'd like another opinion.
