dsl problem

hi,can somebody take a look at this and give some possible info please.

been having problems since thursday night, stupid slow speeds. speed test results from speedtester.bt.com/ are between 50kbps and 150kbps.
i have followed all things from isp to no avail.
i have run speed test 8 times,taken out bt faceplate and connected into test socket using mfilter,changed home phone to basic one,replaced router etc.......
postoffice say that line dropped 19 times overnight but insist error is indoors?
any more info required pls ask.

What is your profile according to speedtester.bt.com ? You will be limited to that speed for up to a week. If your sync rate remains stable the profile should rise.

ip profile for my line is @ 3000kbps hasnt changed at all

Download and install Router Stats Lite

Power off everything leave 10 to 15 minutes and reboot.

Plug the modem into the test socket with NOTHING else connected.

Pull off a full set of stats.

Start Router Stats Lite running (assuming it runs with you router) with 1 minutes sampling.

15 minutes after reboot, do a full BT speed test

Access and record router stats.

Post the information and link to an RSL image back here but leave RSL running for a few hours.

That will be enough to prove that if there is a fault it is outside of YOUR control.

Have you had any problems before when the router syncs at around 3904kbps, as it's a good sync rate for a downstream attenuation of 63.5dB if it isn't the result of tweaking

What is the current IP profile that accompanies the speed test results?

If you have a spare router try setting it up and see if there are as many disconnections as with the original router in use.

allways use to sync about 3200 or less.
current IP profile is 3000kbps
i did have a netgear which i was using,it was dissconnecting so saturday i changed it to the EchoLife HG520b, same result with the echolife
the thing i have noticed it that bother routers have been syncing 3900>4100 which is high considering the [censored] line

Keep the RSL tracking going - overnight if possible and an occasional set of stats.

Add in some tests from the BT Speedtester site and you will have proof that even though you are syncing at a reasonable speed there is a throughput issue.

Assuming that you have not been capped/throttled.

did speedtest as you said after 15 mins and got 99kbps connection rate of 3776 kbps
and ip profile of 3000 kbps

and another just a minute ago
Download speedachieved during the test was - 69 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
