I can get 8meg at the master socket, but the internal wiring reduced that to 5.8meg.

Fitted an iplate and the sync speed has improved from 5.8 to 7.6meg and the download spped from 4.7 to 6.3 meg

Oops - now corrected

It looks likely that during all this, Interleaving has been turned on. Thus bringing you down from 8128kbps sync to 7616kbps.

You may like to look into that.

Does O2 do that automatically? I guess if its O2 Connect then it happens, but not on LLU ?

I'm having a few bad days . I missed that, so if his sig is still current it can't be that. Just the way his opening post reads.

O2 LLU is of course interleaved anyway, but that's irrelevant to his speed drop.
