Since Thursday I have been without internet (on a mates at the moment)
I had to switch the power off in the house to fit a new element on the kitchen oven (wrong size as well grrr) when I turned the power back on, I could not get the internet back up.
The router is syncing with the exchange at 800-900 kbps down and 80 - 160kbps up instead of at least 5300 down and 500ish up.
The SNR is varying between 6 and 7.
Attenuation has gone from under 20 to over 50 downstream and from under 15 to 34+ for the upstream.
No settings were changed on the billion 7800N router and I also tried a factory reset with the same results.
I have also tried with a netgear router and 2 more filters to make sure it
7800n Router system log loops the following:
Jan 01 03:42:49 daemon pppd[599]: PPP: Start to connect ...
Jan 01 03:42:49 daemon pppd[599]: Using interface ppp0_0_38_1
Jan 01 03:42:49 daemon pppd[599]: Connect: ppp_0_0_38_1 <-->
Jan 01 03:42:49 daemon pppd[599]: Couldn't increase MTU to 1500.
Jan 01 03:42:58 daemon pppd[599]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Jan 01 03:42:58 daemon pppd[599]: Connection terminated.
I have contacted my ISP, Aquiss and they are getting a engineer to come out to me, but as its a bank holiday, it wont be till at least Tuesday, is there anyone else who has had a similar experience or knows of anything else I could try before Tuesday?
