They have to be connected to each other. People do it quite often for a variety of reasons. But I think you mean having them independently, on different phone sockets? Is that right?

Pretty much all "Internet Ready" TVs have Ethernet. Some also have built-in wireless, some support USB Wi-Fi dongles. It can depend on both model and purchase options.

The OP needs to connect his TV via one of these methods - he doesn't need two routers.

The easist way to connect up your internet ready TV is via your existing router, using DLAN or similar to provide a link to the TV's Ethernet port using the mains. Works for me with no complications.
