ISPs can offer FTTC at the same price as their ADSL services if they desire, so anyone who can afford ADSL can certainly afford (superior) FTTC.

BT do this.

Above average house prices, (a.k.a.) loadsa money

Don't know. No-one I know has "loadsa money". I certainly don't. We got our house on the cheap as it was in a very poor condition and did it up.

I won't be getting FTTC or anything like that. Perfectly satisfied with TalkTalk LLU at the moment. No doubt they will try and sell me fttc when it's ready but I can't see me jumping. Can't see anyone I know around here jumping either.....

Probably also a case of BT going into the places that Sky are targetting.

Possibly. I hadn't even noticed that they had moved in!! May jump there though and get skytv once my TT contract is out. Just depends on what I feel like at the time and how business is going.
