Aside from your TSNRM tweaking query - just moving from a 'v3' Netgear could be a good thing!

See my router link below - moving to a Broadcom chipset router (which are in the tweakable Netgears) might be all you need smile

Hi ba4dger so from your link you use the Thomson Speedtouch 585v6 ?

does when used with an xbox 360 if the nat port is open like on the netgear i currently have, many thanks

Yep - but a Broadcom based Netgear (I've also got a DG834GT) performs in a similar way.

I haven't got an xbox I'm afraid and I'm not a gamer.

I'm not aware of different types of DG834GT.

That's also where I got my ST585v6 from.

Or a Netgear DG834v4 (must be v4) is also Broadcom.
There are other newer Netgears as well - do a search on TBB for more Broadcom info...

There's a minor error there.

The 834N (v1) was Broadcom. The 834N v2 was Conexant.
