TBBSpeed Test and Java

OS Win7-64. IE9. Graphic Card Nvidea 4xx w/ latest driver.

Several times I have tried to run your speed test without success. Each time I am asked to install Java.

I have Java. Each time I uninstal and reinstal without making any difference.

Advice appreciated.

When you visit the oracle java websites what version does it state is installed?

Java can be difficult at times, as multiple versions can reside on the same machine.

What browser are you using?

IE 9.0 32-bit
Java Version 6 Update 29
Windows 7 64 bit

and speedtester works fine.

IE has two versions on 64bit windows - a 32bit version and a 64bit version.

If you want to use the 64bit version, you need 64bit java. (32bit java is what most people have).

Is the version I quoted 64 bit then?

The operating system may be 64 bit, but it will run both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of internet explorer. So it is a good question.
