LLU Migration

Hi there,

I've been on 8Mbps ADSL1 now for a few years and have just placed an order for Vivaciti 'Surfwise' 24Mbps using TalkTalk equipment as they've just unbundled my exchange.

My activation date was today - however, nothing has happened my line yet. Could it still be tonight for the activation or will I have to schedule another appointment?

It could still happen today, but there have been a couple of late migratrions recently. These are outside your ISP's control, entirely down to Openreach doing the job when they said.

What do you mean about scheduling an appointment? The answer is "No" anyway, it is all done at the exchange and doesn't involve you.

My activation was a day late and others are seeing this too.

Apologies - I didn't mean an appointment.. originally I had to choose an activation date, what I was thinking was, do I have to create another activation date for this?

Mine was a day late too. Was supposed to be Monday just been but ended up being early tuesday afternoon

Nope . It will happen.

Maybe quite unconsciously, work that is directly "BT" related takes priority over LLU when earlier jobs in the day have run over time.

Got activated around 8am this morning.

Just wanted to check if these statistics are OK? Downstream attenuation was 37 before hand so aware it'll go up 2-3.

Connection Speed 9720 kbps 1020 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.0 db 19.3 db
Noise Margin 6.3 db 10.2 db

Get about 8 down / 0.7 up on speedtests.

Yup - speed looks ok for you attenuation.
