Nice chap at the PO arrange an engineer for friday - said there was no need for him to visit my house and no mention of charges. I presume their automated tests are some sort of exchange based TDR test?

Out of interest here is my DMT info in case anyone spots anything - most of the ones I've seen dont have the depression in the middle from around tones 75-300.

My upstream sync also seems very low - i've seen stats for much longer lines with the same or better.

Looks like the frequency response of one of the cables is limited. Try different cables.

What does DMT look like immediately after a router reboot?

Hi
Im at work at the moment but will make up another rj11 cable and test when I get home

My line has completley lost sync now by the looks of it so hopefully this is BT openreach sorting the line fault.

Did they check from the test socket in the nte5?

When I had an OR engineer called out to check my line late last year he started from the nte5 test socket then worked his way to the exchange via the cabinet etc. BTW he detected errors at the nte5 initially and found the problem to be at the exchange. However that was first reported by me as a broadband fault and not a voice fault but the two were eventually found to be related.

I started with the voice fault as I thought that would be simplest to sort. I may now have to raise a broadband fault - However , I am not sure how seriously my ISP will respond to something like this.

4M2 - they didn't come in to the house.

Is the quiet line test definitely OK now?

If it is you might be struggling to get any action from your ISP regarding the broadband frown

That DMT graph looks wrong though. You're losing a lot of speed in that middle dip.
Can you describe how the wiring comes in from outside?
What about extensions, alarms, sky boxes, etc?
