Why do different line providers have different engineer date

I want a new phone line, Sky offered me one Monday 30th, Talktalk offered the 1st yet BT offered me the 16th May!!!!

Doesnt make any sense to me as I thought Openreach did the work.

Sky and TalkTalk seem to have longer lead times and no explanation is around.

It maybe they are busier and simpler stagger activations more.

Write as many words as I do a day, and a few slip ups are going to happen.

It could be that Sky and TalkTalk are giving dates at the end of May, and BT Retail is actually sooner.

Well i doubt it as the 30 of this month April is a Monday (next) the 30th of may this year falls on a Wednesday,could be the 30th of July though,
