i Assume that why they have to give 30 day notice and can leave without penalty
Well they need to implement a way to track usage, what's the penalty if you go over the FUP?
You will be charged, they did not say how much per gb , just that it will all be in the letter

Well I hope they create a way of keeping track then, because laptops, PC's Ipods and Phones are a nightmare to individually keep track of.

Still amazes me how they can change any part of the service whilst you're in contract with them, but as soon as you break any terms, you're chucked off. Because the introduction of the new Fair Use Policy is a material change to the Post
Office® Broadband Extra Terms and Conditions, you have the right to terminate your
Post Office® Broadband Extra service without incurring early termination charges.
Please see the Terms and Conditions for Post Office® Broadband Extra Customers
for further information.
If you wish to discuss these changes to your Post Office® Broadband Extra service,
please call 0845 600 3210 and select option 1 and then option 4.

I need some advice on this , last month i agreed for a 3.50 month discount over 12 month , which was all paid on my next invoice (£ 42) but if i left with in 12 month would have to pay in back.
i agreed to the above based on my current terms and conditions as the terms are changing (80gb usage then blocked according to cancellations) which will be a detrimental to myself ( i have been told by them my usage is over 100gb), assumed i can leave with out paying the £ 42 back they are saying i have to are they right ?
the said that paragraph above that RobertoS posted is only relevant, to people in contract. please help

"The overall summary of the new rules is that 'unlimited' is probably acceptable even if subject to provider-imposed sanctions so long as these sanctions do not restrict or limit the service that is outside the average consumer's expectations of an 'unlimited' service."

Which is total garbage as to "the average consumer" the word "unlimited" means "as much as you like".
