Howdy Ye Ol,
Over the last 6 weeks, my down stream SNR value has been slowly creeping up.
The line is stable with only a snr variation of around 0.3db between night and day, and the usual snr value is about 5.8-6.1db.
Over the last 6 weeks, it's been easing up by about 0.2-0.3db every 2-3 days. and currently its at 9.8db. I havent lost sync or connection in over 2 months and it doesn't seem to be affecting my speed at the momment.
Usual behaviour from the dslam on a line fault as i understand, it will increase the snr in 3db increments to stabilise the connection. mine seems to be increasing by about 0.2-0.3db every few days. But kind of strange it's doing anything when I dont seem to have a connection fault.
There's been no hardware changes in the last 18 months.
Linksys WAG160N
Plugged into master socket.
Attenuation is 22db
ADSL Max
Sync 8128Kbps
no noise on the line with quiet line test.
No actual problem as yet, I'm just curious what its doing this last 6 weeks
