I think you might improve on 30ms. It does depend on the ISP as well as the system and location. Virgin Media ADSL is not recommended.
Which exchange are you on? Aprrentice asked, and you didn't say . The best for us is the link to what this checker says.

Money can buy a lot but cannot change the laws of physics.
Our partial knowledge of those laws can change though. That usually requires a lot of money.

Depends where you are
We get 14ms in Sheffield and I know some of our customers get 7-9ms in London!
Matt sorry one more question will you be able to provide a dynamic ip as i play competitive gaming where host booting is a problem so a static ip isn't a good thing for me

What made you think that you could change the speed of light? Money can buy a lot but cannot change the laws of physics.
What does that have to do with anything?
On a ping to a server 250 miles away it's only going to contribute about 3mSec to the round trip time.

My ping was around 26-30ms.
Now I'm on Pro 24 I get around 19-24ms.
You're not likely to see less than that on an ADSL connection.
Whether ADSL or ADSL2+ my pings have been the same. With interleaving enabled, around 40ms and on fastpath, around 24ms. 400 odd miles from London.

With Zen, the TBB Graph shows me around 9ms min on Fastpath:
My Broadband Ping Fastpath
and about 24ms on Interleaved - which is where I prefer it as I don't gameplay and get about another 500k...

The peaks are generally caused by traffic on the line at this end when it's in use. Scheduled uploads can pretty well saturate the line during some nights as you can see.

Not good . About all I can say, to give you hope, is that probably the three worst ISPs to be with are VM ADSL, Sky Connect and O2 Access. Some part of your xilo connection will be better. With luck, every part!

Do you have to host the router stats on your local PC, or can it be done with scheduled uploads to a remote web server?

I use an existing backup utility (SyncBackPro) to upload whatever RouterStats file(s) I need every so often to my remote hosting site. I used to upload loads of graphs once a minute when I was REIN chasing and wanted a remote view available from another property but now just do one every 10 mins. I did have a public web server running from here once (there is one built in to RouterStats) but got hacked so gave up on that idea as too much agro...
