And they do have valid uses, such as getting on-the-spot news out, fast, to a wide audience.

But they're not my scene.

Sliced bread is only for emergency use. Generally pap. See Section 2.2. The first definition in the Thesaurus list there seems relevant to the main discussion. Or the pap¹.3

I'm sure any "social networking" links would be on his website.
