Mary, Mary, so contrary!

Then why bother seeking your Service Status at BT At Home?

that's a screen shot of a BT service status checker, you aren't on a BT service. Nothing to see here, move on.

I can assure you, if you do not pay line rental direct to BT, their system WILL NOT recognise your number, as per the image I posted earlier. Surely there must be others here in the same situation that can confirm that.

Correct, the line I rent from IDNet and the T-T full MPF LLU line are both not recognised by the BT service status tool as I am not a customer of theirs.

T-T have a status checker that works for the LLU, I haven't looked to see what IDNet offer their telephony customers in the way of online tools.

Yes, exactly - As I am sure you are aware after following this usual drivel, that rather than seek my service status, which I can easily do elsewhere, I was simply trying to prove my BT line number would NOT be "accepted so long as not LLU", as previous posts seemed to read to me. Enough of this tripe, 'Mary' has a garden to tend! wink

Yes I know. I was simply in light of the OP difficulties, just mentioning the obstacles that are put in the way of users of differing ISPs. But as usual, I only have to open my gob and all hell breaks loose!

Which could make observers wonder about cause and effect, and where the hell escapes from.

I have never had anything other than a BT-based WLR service. There is ONLY TT LLU on my Market 1 exchange and I would not touch them with yours! I really don't know WHY forums always have to contradict. My line is with the Post Office again now that they do an anytime call package for barely anymore than BT line rental with no tie-in.

Your voice line might be on Talktalk LLU, since that's who Post Office use to supply voice lines these days.

Oliver.

I don't think that's technically possible for someone on a BT Wholesale broadband service, which I'm fairly sure he is. It wouldn't show up on BT Wholesale either.

Then again it might not, as the changeover has not happened yet. At the rate things are going, it may never happen, as I have not been able to get a straight answer as yet from the Post Office. The day things look lite TT LLU, I will move in a hurry.
