Broadband without Phone

I was wondering if there is any news on taking up a Broadband connection without the need of an active phone, especially when Fibre is seperate from the normal voice services?

I read an article a few months back where it said OFCOM was looking in to this but not heard or seen anything since...

Also, if it is or will soon be available, I can only assume ISPs and TELCOs will increase prices to gain back any revenue lost... Then again, it could trigger a price war but then again it may not....

When you say fibre I presume you mean full FTTP

FFTP pricing has a bundle discount if you take a phone service, rendering the cost the same.
