That depends what it was 17 days ago immediately after you made the connection.
If it was 6dB then I think 3dB would be a safe bet, giving a bit higher speed but I'd be very surprised if you noticed anything significant in real life usage rather than speed tests.
If it was 3dB and has risen since then, which is perfectly possible, then leave well alone.
