a while, ADSL can be sold really cheap, sky give it free to sports subscribers currently, and many areas have no FTTC/cable. There is even still dialup isps around.
Yes, but most ISPs which originally did dialup now offer ADSL and also FTTC. Demon has got stuck at ADSL and proudly boasts of speeds up to 19Mbps. It's all a little bit behind the times.
