Moving House with Sky

My son is moving house next week, he has broadband unlimited with Sky at £7.50/month.
Sky have told him this is not available at his new address and he must upgrade to Sky Fibre cheapest being £10/month capped at 25 Gb.

Can this be correct.?

Someone else on here recently said Sky were not able to provide the LLU ADSL services at an address but could provide Fibre. So, it is possibly correct and feasibly there are technical reasons why this could be (for example, the fibre could actually be being fed from a different exchange to the ADSL - therefore the fibre exchange may have Sky backhaul whereas the ADSL exchange does not).

If your son is moving to a smaller exchange with no Sky LLU, then it looks correct. Where fibre is available but LLU is not, Sky will only offfer fibre.

Thanks, that is interesting. Either LLU capacity is full at the exchange, or Sky are having a policy shift towards fibre instead of LLU.

It appears Broadband unlimited is available but at an estimated speed of 0.1-0.4 Mbit.
My son is going with the fibre option.
