Happened to stumble across this, apparently going to come in this year. Sorry if its old news but thought i would post anyway
Broadband customers will no longer have to contact their provider before they can switch - the new provider will take care of everything, so the process is simpler than ever.
It will soon be made easier to switch broadband provider as the process of moving from one service to another is being simplified for consumers.
New measures outlined by Ofcom, the UK communications regulator, will give power back to the customer and the provider they're switching to, instead of the old provider they're trying to leave - and which might be reluctant to let them go.

It does, but not GEA-FTTP (or at least that was the case last year)
Meant to make the switching from full LLU to and back again simpler. BUT how it will pan out in practice is another matter.

No, migrations from/to full LLU have been gaining provider led for a long time now. The changes are designed to make switching on WLR3 simpler, by abolishing the MAC.

Why abolish the MAC there is nothing wrong with the MAC code system , after june there won't be anything in place to prevent slamming on bb service, nice one you usesles quango ofcom
what they should of done is include full llu in the MAC code system not scrap it
