ASUS USB-N53

Hi, I'm about to change from ADSL broadband to fibre broadband. Many of the new routers support wireless N but one of our laptops is quite old and only supports up to a wireless G connection. My question is would the ASUS USB-N53 dongle effectively upgrade the laptop to a wireless N connection? I want to double check before buying. Thank you for any help.

The Asus USB N53 should do what you want and is also dual band, i.e. can use 5GHz band which can avoid wireless congestion issues too, (presuming router is a dual band device too).
