I simply missed that you were talking about the Openreach checker, which I've never had cause to look at. Your post with a link to it came later, and on clicking that it seems from the popup I got that the address checking is a recent upgrade.

Anyway, we can feel safe that the OP is getting fibre - but from what he said it doesn't say whether it will be FTTC or FTTP. The BTW one does, assuming it has that postcode's data.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync 60000/16961kbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

I've posted the direct link a few times in the past and it has always worked. (99.9% of the time I check links work at the Preview stage).

Apologies for the delay in responding. The exchange is Lennoxtown and it's cabinet 4. I've noticed that a much larger cabinet has recently been built next to the old cabinet 4, I'm assuming this is for fibre. Would this serve the whole area or just cabinet 4? Also, I assume that it'll be FTTC and not FTTP as no roads are being dug up in the area.

Thanks

The FTTC ones are larger and have some air vent slots on them. If it was FTTP there would be no new cabinet with the air vents as it does not need one.

It will usually only serve those connected to cabinet 4, but sometimes some historical anomalises in the network are corrected, e.g. the 2 properties miles from their cabinet may be moved to cabinet 4.

Pictures of cabinets. The ones labelled 128 should say 96.

Thanks for this. Is there a way to check how many homes are served by each cabinet?
