Why did PN provide and charge you for a Max speed fibre BB package when they would surely know your line was incapable of providing it?

I'm assuming when he/she joined Plusnet on that package they either didn't do an unlimited version of 40/10 / 40/20 or Plusnet believed the line might of been capable of higher downstream or upstream..

Maybe the customer mentioning this to Plusnet will get him a good offer or refund if you will.

Thanks very much, mlmclaren, for jogging my memory. When I first joined PN I had a choice of 76 Mbps with 250 GB usage or 38 Mbps with 40 GB usage.

With hindsight, I realise that I deliberately chose 76 Mbps to avail myself of the extra usage. Now, of course, I can obtain 40 Mbps with unlimited usage which will be my choice.
