I know you've already got it but you asked a question...

Ofcom require MACs are created within 5 working days. A number of ISPs seem to have taken this as a target (ie it should take 5 working days). So, it shouldn't take 5 working days but ISPs are free to prioritise their resources and may put MAC creation at the back of the ticket queue and only act on it when they are close to breaching the target. So, the actual creation is a matter of moments but it could take 5 days before they start that 5 minutes work as more pressing issues take priority.

So got my activation date from Pulse8. Next job is getting coms to stop billing me after my notice period. This could be fun going on othes experience. Should i do this

1 - Ring Coms, tell them my migration in on the 3rd and inform them i give 1 month notice from today
2 - Coms bill comes out on the 1st and covers until the end of June. Soon as that comes out should i cancel the DD as it will be my last bill and Coms won't owe me anything and i wont owe them anything?
3 - Come migration date tell them to close my account as ive moved and paid up?

Good plan? laugh

Anyone know what time migrations usually happen? I know its different when going from BT -> LLU or vice versa as you need an engineer to switch you over at the exchange.

Im going from TTB LLU to TTB LLU so assume on engineer needed. Sure last time i moved ISP but stayed on TTB LLU it was on the early hours of the morning, but dunno if this is a rule or just luck
