Re: Awful Business service

LOL! What do you expect TTB to do? Send someone around personally with your new router & have it delivered within 2 hours? I suggest you pop over to your nearest PC world/currys today and pick up any half decent router - Asus or Netgear are both good. You can use ANY ADSL2+ (if thats what you have) router on a TTB line & usually no line authentication is required.

I'm a domestic customer with TT and have been for years without problems.. My router stopped working and without much hope phoned TT support. They hummed and hawed, ran some diagnostics and said my router was knackered.

I have a spare old one I could use before buying a new one but much to my surprise the TT agent said it was not a problem and he would arrange for an engineer visit.

Next morning at around 8:30 the phone rings and it is a TT engineer asking where my house is. Turns out he was about 400 yards up the road! He duly arrives checks my router and confirms it is knackered. No surprise there. He then goes out to his van and returns with a new, boxed TT labelled router and installs it.

Even more surprising it did not cost me anything.

I know from this and other discussion groups that TT support generates a lot of negative comments but there is another side to the coin.
