Those - having a snapshot at the time of a slow speedtest may show if there is an intermittent noise issue. Those figures suggest not and I would guess that there is not a line issue either - if DSL Stats will work with one of your routers, run that for a while to see if any of those stats change drastically.

As others have suggested, it could well be contention in the ISPs backhaul that is causing the problem OR something within your property, neither of which can be solved by an SFI visit.

One other possibility and given you have tried several routers may not be a cause - can I ask how close you are to your exchange? Next door maybe?

Nah, just a couple of hundred meters I'd say ...... Or there's summit wrong with your router producing duff stats.

Yours is a very short line, and stats seem to show it as healthy, me, I'd suspect congestion.

The emails you've received from the ISP seem quite detailed. Are they sure they have enough capacity from BT Wholesale? They should be able to check capacity levels and give you an answer on that.

You would think that.."However as I've said before the point by graphs we have for your line don't show any sign of a capacity issue and the speed tests so far have been ok."

clearly they are not aware of any such issues.

Anyway I'm switching isp, unfortunately I'll be stuck on this garbage internet service for another 2weeks. On the plus side will be paying a whole lot less next month, guess only then I'll find out if the capacity issues were at isp level or bottleneck nearer exchange level. Either way if it continues I got a bunch of subscriptions to cancel and won't be buying anything that requires downloading gj really. I think sub 1mbit downloads on a line that has been capable of 7mbit for years is just pathetic. Capacity issues or just blatant lies and deception at ISP level I have no idea I'd say avoid them though, unless your usage of the internet consists of reading emails visiting dailyfail and watching lowmobile quality youtube vids.

I may have missed it in the long first post - have you made sure everything else on the network is off when doing the speed tests? Just to ensure nothing else is swallowing the bandwidth.
