Oh i thought they worked on different frequencies so dont interfere

Certainly on my line with FTTC enabled my ADSL2+ speeds have slightly increased since FTTC was installed at the cab.

ADSL uses frequencies from just above the voice band (plus guard) through to around 2.2 MHz, VDSL again starts just above the voice band (plus guard) at about 30kHz and extends up to 17MHz (UK). So, VDSL is present across all ADSL frequencies and in some case is in the opposite direction.

In my original post, I did also say it could go UP or DOWN marginally - as you have found.

Oh no its not, in the UK the ANFP has guards in place to protect ADSL and ADSL2+ services
