New rules on Migrate MPF Line

On the new rules from OFCOM is there a charge of Migrate MPF Line when moving to a similar provider?

Every migration carries a small cost at the wholesale level, many providers absorb it into the contract term.

I thought that OFCOM had said there was no charge from the losing ISP.

MPF is exempt as the line is direct with the carrier and not a WLR so charges can apply as can install costs if the new provider feels is justified.

I was referring to the cost for the gaining provider. There should be no charge from the losing ISP e.g. cease charges unless the contract had some, or for example you are migrating away while within the minimum term of a contract, or other item such as a YouView box requires an extra payment.

Even if in a 30 day rolling contract, providers are still allowed to charge a reasonable notice period, which should have been defined in the contract when you signed up.
