Hi Saffron,

I'll try again today at the same time as yesterday, around 9pm, ee's network should already be pretty loaded on a weekend.

Ok I'm back with the results,

I did these at 7:40PM but its close enough anyway, their network is still congested.

Test 1, using the tbb normal speed tester:
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results.html...
(as you can see some weird variation, no one else was online and the only thing running on my pc was chrome)

Test 2, using the tbb speed test you linked me:
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results.html...
(as you can see horrific results)

Finally, Test 3 using the ookla speedtest.net tester:

Thanks for your help with this!

The ookla tester can be tricked into giving odd results, this is why we record and show the throughput graph, hence the suggestion to check what network activity Windows Task Manager is indicating

EE traffic management may even be giving priority to the ookla tester

Yeah that's what I suspected, I suppose the only thing I can do about it is change isp asap. Or possibly wait it out until bt fully take over ee.

Thanks for looking into all of this anyway.
