I'm currently in the process of switching from Plusnet to TalkTalk to get rid of the BT backhaul (for other reasons). Yesterday, I switched from the Plusnet-provided TG582n to the Super Router (HG633) before the due date, it connected without any problems but overnight the line speed dropped 10mbps and now latency is so bad that online games are affected. I was wondering if it could be the ECI cab and the Huawei chipset in the router mix?
Anyway, there is no noise or hissing on the line and from what I know, no aluminium. The line was perfect for over a year since getting FTTC. It's a mystery to me as to why it's gone to pot recently, I used to be able to ignore it but now its getting noticeable in everyday use. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can give router stats if needed
