The 'stats' and performance management system drive entirely the wrong sets of work criteria and practices in some staff. The whole shebang is intrinsically flawed. To those above all is black and white, for those that actually can, and do, it will always be shades of grey.
I should point out that this is true of many large companies these days, not just your new employers.
