Like yourself, I am impressed by the persistence in pursuing those jobs; and the happiness expressed by the individuals as progress is made.

I trust that all goes well for them.

Cheers lads. Thanks Jordan, you to. I found out on Friday aswell, did you have your assessment at Yarnfield on the Thursday by any chance? I would love to start in January but I won't be able to as my first baby is due to be born in Feb so March it is for me, seems so far off!

Well I know over the last few months,I have met 3 (2 guys and 1 girl) which were under the BT apprenticeship scheme, got talking to a couple of them and they were enjoying learning completely new stuff.

Hope it all goes well for you guys , i have been doing it for over 20 years now and if you can get over all the stats [censored] management come out with , and there is lots of it smile it can still be a good job. You get to go and see anywhere a phone line / BB can be and always interesting to see behind the scenes ! And get to meet lots of people , most are great and some great stuff to chat about . Then there are a very , very few About i will not say on here .

these comments are my own and in no way represent any company that i may or may not be linked too.

Hi mate congrats on the job and the baby! I'm more or less in the same postion, just been accepted and baby on the way, mine is due slightly later (middle of April) so I'm hoping I will able to start in January which should be fine if training starts near the beginning of the month (anyone any idea?).

The Thing I wanted to ask anyone that works with Openreachwould would I still be entitled to time off for paternity leave? I think it's 26 weeks you have to have worked to be entitled? Obviously I doubt would I be paid for it and I'm not really bothered about that but would kinda need a couple of weeks off!

Hello lads, attended an assessment centre Wednesday (South wales), had the email from the lady in HR Friday saying I had passed! A little disheartening not getting a job offer yet or knowing a start date but its understandable at this time of the year!
the woman I am speaking too is Laura all she had said is next year so hoping thats January? hopefully see some of you at Yarnfield. exiting times cant wait to get started!
