ECI going bust/bankrupt

Hi all

I was told today by a Openreach Broadband Engineer visinging my home that ECI was going buat/bankrupt.
He said all hardware provided by ECI would be phased out and replaced as needed when ECI replacements is no longer available.
Is this true?
could this mean that all the ECI Hubs/Cabs could be replaced by huawei.....
