No worries mate. I imagine you would hear back from them before Christmas as once they have given you a training date its roughly 4-5 weeks before you go. It gives you plenty of time to do your pre-employment checks and upload documents and for them to sort out your travel.

I don't know if you have done this already but you get your acceptance email and then log on to confirm and put electronic signature to contract. This is then followed up by another email requesting you log in online via BT website where you applied for job and you will see a new tab for tasks. Here you will upload a photo, provide bank details, drivers licence details, passport,. You'll be given a link to disclosure scotland where you will apply for your criminal check and then upload the reference number. You will also have to give details of references covering the last 3 years. You tick off these tasks as you go along. You then have to wait for your disclosure scotland certificate to come in the mail and you then scan it and send it to your advisor. Once all is verified you'll get a ready for work email.

Don't worry younget you start date before the ready for work email. Its just a confirmation everything has been completed and that you have criminal convictions you have not stated. You then get a phone call from the travel team roughly 1-2 weeks before your start date who go through arrangements, either train or hire car if you live anywhere near other applicants who you can pick up.
