looks like openreach will become just part of bt group with nothing to do with bt provider

I had an email from her 2 weeks ago saying she would update me in a couple of weeks,
so I emailed her on Monday to check and she replied saying she will find out in the new year.
Im in South Wales.

I don't think anything will happen now until January. We already know the last training of the year has already started and the first of next year has already been sorted. We just need to wait I'm afraid

oh [censored], I'm unemployed 24 December and the wife is too. we were hoping for a January start date

That is some seriously bad news.
I contacted Laura today and she confirmed that she wouldn't hear back until the new year.
Sooo sad I'm actively looking for other work as I can't afford to be unemployed in January.
Could be a March start date who knows!, The recruitment process isn't quick that's for sure,

Laura didn't say that it would be next year but stated this

"I am still awaiting confirmation on the locations of the roles and training dates.."

So I feel she knows very little at the moment glad we weren't all expecting a January start date!!!
