LOL yes, I didn't read that bit.

What about "Enclosure : External"? Is the alternative having the casing sitting on a surface with the circuit board lying on top?

It is an extremely good device , mine has performed beautifully.

I agree the Vigor 130 is an excellent modem and in many ways i prefer it to my HG612...the 130 seems a lot more polished. However what made me go back to the HG612 was that there appears to be no easy way of getting the line stats through the router, you have to disconnect the lan cable to the router and then connect it your pc which can be a right old faff. Draytek support have told me its not possible yet I've heard about someone who's managed to view the stats on a non-Draytek router. Did you ever manage to do this?

I use the Vigor 130 with default settings connected to an Asus RT-AC3200.

I can view all settings in a browser by calling 192.168.2.1 , that gives me the full GUI and access to all the stats.

No need to move leads etc.

The Asus routers have 2 WAN IP's ))

Thanks, I'll dig out the 130 and hook it up to my Asus RT-AC5300. I definitely can't view stats through a Netgear R9000 or Linksys EA8500.

In the Asus GUI check this :

WAN - Internet Connection > Special Requirement from ISP > Enable VPN + DHCP Connection (set this to yes )

Grrrrrr I cannot find that setting:
http://demoui.asus.com/Advanced_WAN_Content.asp

Maybe i need to install Merlin firmware on the AC5300?

Edit: found it! That setting appears once you select PPPoE as wan connection type (which i do use). Many thanks mate smile

As usual these days, so much for support. The Vigor 130 line stats can be read in the browser interface, when connected to the 2860, 2925 and the 2830n V2 I have here.

It says that in the Draytek writeup prof smile. Which did have me a bit concerned about non-Draytek routers until I read the above posts.

Thanks to those who have posted about getting stats from the 130, particularly wrt ASUS.

Are they reasonably full stats please? As in Max Attainable rather than just sync, also interleaving depth and G.INP info.
