I've just seen that plans have been approved for converting the Openreach training site in Harrogate into a residential area. I guess training won't be going on for much longer there...

The main training site is near Stone, so it might not mean a lot for the initial training, but it might alter some of the follow-on stuff later.

Sorry for the random reply to you but I have an update on the January training date. I've received my confirmations, my travel arrangements and today received my welcome and plan guide. The same email was sent to 8 of us. I'm from as south as south gets, eastbourne, near Brighton and it's looking like I'll be spending the whole 5 week training in yarnfield, which is strange as Croydon would be my nearest training centre. My guess is that the January course is a lot smaller than usual and in some ways has been rushed together as all my checks and tasks for employment were asked to be completed in 48 hours rather than the week it said on my job task. Not really sure what usually happens but all seems a little different than what it should. Take from that what you will and merry Christmas to you all

It's been a long process. Applied for the job mid August, heard back mid september, had my assessment on September 21st and got my email 22nd to say I had passed but there were no roles in my area. Finally received a job offer on the 15th of November and start 9th of January.
