Number of jobs per day depends upon the type of work / area you work.A socket jockey in a city may do 7+ jobs a day but a multi skilled guy working in a rural patch may do only 1 or 2 jobs a day.If working on NS (Network Solutions ) it can be days per job !

I guess some proportion of the engineers are focused on matters within the access network - spine fibre jointing, D-side upgrades, PCP replacements, etc - rather than doorstep appointments.

Is that the kind of thing NS gets up to?

It depends entirely on so many different factors, which is why stats are such BS.

Yes but not sure about the fibre jointing.

My neighbor applied for a engineer job with Openreach last year, was talking to him yesterday. He got called up before hand and offered a different role as a Fibre to the property specialist which is 30k a year. no tech experience or anything just passed the assessment centre. I must have something to do with your location? anyways still waiting to hear anything.

I'll have some of that if it's going!!
Although I think the commute may be slightly over my hour each way commitment?

Well the end of February is only 4 weeks away today so by then we'll hopefully have a development to look forward to

Yeah I wouldnt say no to it haha! be happy to hear anything to be honest though.

I think we are all part of the wanna hear something club!
But with all surprises somebodies going to make us wait right till the end to find out!
