I'll be very surprised if we hear anything before end of March!

Me also! Think they just want us ready and waiting, as required job location/positions arise.

I have a feeling we will get the email, but it will just be another one saying thanks for your patience blah blah blah, we hope to have an update by end of march.

It's quite ridiculous, never have I ever had to wait for almost 6 months after being told I was successful at interview. There hasn't even been any mention of a job offer, let alone start date.

I agree, its almost as if they havent started anyone at yarnfield yet, further up this page it was said that 9 lads were under training in week 2 of 2017, not many since they are apparently taking on 1500 this quater.

Did my assessment on 2nd November in merthyr tydfil, south Wales. I live in merthyr and on a daily basis see Kelly Communications vans at the bt boxes. Says working on behalf of openreach on the side. Surely it can't be cheaper to contract work out rather than hire more of their own. Losing interest rapidly. Gonna have to start making a commitment and putting effort into my current job now.

Just out of interest, does anyone know whether the applications expire or waiting list expires after a certain length of time and we have to start over again?

On the indeed jobs page theres also a lot of field engineering positions in telecommunications being advertised too in the north west with training given, by employment agencies so who knows what's happening. To be honest i dont think Openreach know what's happening either. Its not professional at all. I have a buddy whos a fibre engineer with openreach, hes going to yarnfield on friday for a days training. Iv asked him to try and get us some information if he can.

Openreach have been using Kelly for years. It appears to be quite a hard gig. You have to share a room whilst training, attend the road safety work training in your own time. Finally, you have to agree to pay back your training costs if you leave. Oh and they pay £60 a day whilst training.

If you check the news feed on BT Openreach, Ofcom are putting the boot in, which must be muddying the decision waters at BT.

The acid test should occur by Tuesday 28th, February 2017, the last date that BT Openreach have committed to give us information by.

If this iprovides no significant information to give us hope, I think we all need to look elsewhere.

Several Kelly engineers attended the centre at Oxford. Any on this Forum?
