1st post here. Had an email invitation today to an assessment day in Bristol on 4th April. It did also say at the top that the location was Yarnfield

Did you go through the Online Video Interview?

Yes, I had the video interview last week.

It was a new experience for me and to be honest I was surprised how nerve wracking i found it. It's also strange not having the reactions of an interviewer to work with, it's just you talking to your laptop.

There was a setup section and practice questions so you can get used to it and check how the recording looks and sounds. Then once it started for real it was 5 questions you get a certain amount of time to read each question and a certain amount of time to answer. Questions were fairly standard, why do you want to join openreach etc etc.

In the end I think it was only 30 mins and that included the setup.

With reference to your query over the van Logo change with the Openreach BT split I'm positive I saw 2 Openreach vans together today and one didn't have BT livery on it just the Openreach livery the other van looked normal so could be a new boy Buddying with an experienced OR engineer!

Sounds like it! I don't see why they would still be branding the new vans just to pull it off!
I will keep an eye out see if i can spot one

Has anyone who has returned the disclosure Scotland certificate to Open reach yet had it acknowledged? They aren't replying again.

Received my invite today for an assessment at Bristol on the 5th April, anyone else's going?

Also what is the assessment all about?
Any advice and tips?
What's the practical?

I phoned up and got it acknowledged

Assessment day for me was set out as shown below

1 - introduction about the company and role explained
2 - we then did the practical which is very easy wiring a household plug (with instructions)
3 - then a colour blind test name the colours from a few wires.
4 - then 2 interviews with different interviewers, I would research ALOT about open reach especially with the new split, have previous situations ready and dont forget to mention health and safety they liked it when I mentioned risk assessment.
5 - All done then found out 2 days later then a 6 month wait to start!
