Our 4 weeks in Livingston flew by, might be better if you're going to get more time. You aren't expected to remember everything and be brilliant straight away, it's really to make sure you're capable of following procedures, and to give you an idea of what to do in your buddying and on the job. Again I know you'll need a passport photo for the Streetworks course.
At the moment I'm definitely still learning but stuff has started to click, you start out on provides and possibly faults, quite a lot of simple cab jumpers to connect people to the fibre DSLAMs. My typical day still involves quite simple stuff (when I see what the more experience underground guys do).
