Just watch as they quickly contact them, contacted my line manager a week before I was handing in my notice. Am now on 4 weeks gardening leave.

Same thing happened to me, was put on a weeks gardening leave. Am now temping to see me through to my start date.

M8 I work for Sky and if you think Openreach are any worse trust me they aint and I'm looking at a total career change.

I'm under a lot more pressure with my current job than Openreach will ever put me under.

Mate, not to knock the company but if you are taking a 10k cut to work for Openreach I would reconsider. Its not for everyone and you'll soon find that out. The retention rate says it all.Everything you are shown in training is in prime example. The poles, cabs and exchanges are nothing like that in reality. Trust me this job is stressful as you have to hit production targets. Its not always greener on the other side and I'd have a long think about it before making a decision.

Fortunately my gardening leave is paid. Bizarre as known about this for ages and not let standards fall or anything like it. Oh well there loss.
