Not scottish border no, I'm being based at Rusholme which is 35 minutes from home and that's not including rush hour. So I guess considering I will have to travel through the Manchester city center Ill probably be travelling for around an hour most days.

Weirdly I applied for an exchange that's about 10 - 15 minutes away but they gave me this one instead. I'm fine with it of course at least I got the job but I would of been more comfortable with an area I know well.

We are expected to work anywhere within a 60 minute radius though and according to this site http://www.flaviogortana.com/isoscope/ that's a pretty big are. The site only shows 30 minute radius and its pretty far so 60 minutes drive is a fair old distance.
I wonder if there is a defined area based on your exchange as well.

Side note my Scottish Disclosure says it was completed but to allow 5 days for it to come via first class lol how does that work 4 days for someone to put it into an envelope and a day for the post to deliver?

*edit* I just found a better radius map https://app.traveltimeplatform.com have to give it your email but it doesn't check it.
As I suspected its a huge area in 60 minutes wouldn't mind some feedback from existing engineers if possible about how close the maps are to reality.

It just depends where they need you.

A lot of the engineers that park their vans in the exchange by me don't actually work in our area. Their PWA (Preferred Work Area) starts at least a 30 minute drive away. So some days they may have to drive an hour to get to their first job. But at least they're driving on company time.
