They are usually pretty quick at getting back to you from what I have seen, took 2 days for me to hear back. but 6 months for a start date haha

They are lucky to get away with that ! Here you have to park in a Exch on your PWA or drive to it in your time .Still better then using your own car and fuel.

I completed my assessment today! Like others have already said, 2 interviews, english and maths test, colour blind test, and wiring a plug!

Both interviews were simple enough but they do delve into your answers.

English and maths tests are basic and they repeatedly explained it's not a test.

I struggled with the plug if I'm honest, the nerves got the better of me. I did complete it with time remaining but my hand was shaking so bad I couldn't position the screwdriver to the screw lol My only worry is, I think my wires had minimum wire showing... With my nerves getting the better of me I can't fully remember but hoping for the best lol

If I'm not successful then I'll take all of this process as a learning curve smile

When I done my assessment the guy opposite was shaking really bad but they guys doing the assessment said at the beginning it's natural an not to worrie best tips I can give is sit a look at the laminate for 5 you have plenty of time also as a lot of openreach work your given instruction it seems it's more about weather you can follow the instruction or jus plough thought with a potential disaster just a thinking point for anyone about to go for assessment

Congrats mate thats a very quick turn around that mine was four working days later plus the weekend frown. I was sure I hadn't got it with everyone saying they are quick. I start 22nd of May so I guess I was wrong.

I bet they were the longest 6 days you can remember lol

How well did you think you did on the day prior to finding out ?
