I haven't started yet but I seem to remember being told they will move your start date to fit around your pre booked holidays so its likely you would just start later yes. I guess it will depend on how many would be starting at the same time though. If its only you they may make you wait longer still.

Once you have your uin you can get it apparently. The new starters site says you'll be shown where you can do it online around induction time but it may take a few weeks for you to be fully integrated into the system.

You can do it on the 2nd or 3rd day once your all set up on your laptop, it's all done through they're own intranet. I already ordered my infinity upgrade.

It might have taken over a year to get to this stage but the end result is well worth it.
