the incoming line to the master socket is cable tied for a few 10's of metres to a 3 inch square metal duct (mains electric by the looks of it).

You'd be surprised how many lines run in close proximity to power cables with no noticeable affects. Do the stats show heavy errors ?

Looks to be an issue with coop not talktalk, I can be a pure talktalk line on that exchange is running fine. Coop will have only purchased a very limited amount of bandwidth, this is usually the case with ISPs, but clearly when you are as big as BT, TalkTalk etc you have the customer volume base that still a fairly large amount of bandwidth needs to be purchased.

I would personally get them to switch to an alternate provider, I personally recommend a larger entity, such as TalkTalk business, BT Business etc where congestion is rare.

Errors

No significant errors although it looks like DLM is increasing the upstream margin and upstream is where the error seconds are occurring.

I did set the modem to ADSL2 mode to see if that was more stable but I reverted (first Sync on the graph) to ADSL2+ at about 11:00 this AM.

I wonder if there is more that one factor at work here congestion and REIN or SHINE

My thoughts as well talk talk business all told look very reasonably priced for static IP, call features and call package, I would personally switch to them if available on my exchange. (BT businness on NON LLU 20C exchange)

I'd agree that there doesn't seem to be too much going on there .......

I'd *possibly* (grand order of [censored] covering by the boy Zarj as ever) go with your first hunch and think congestion .....

And if a member of openreach were to attend the property.....connection speeds are fine..... could that be the prognosis of these dedicated members of society? or would/could they investigate further?

Most unusual for them to investigate throughput issues .... Though not 100% unheard of.

Lots of new boys on the park. PQ test and be damned I'm sorry to say. Still a few old timers out there, but they are thinning out.
