IPV6 via 6to4

Trying to configure IPv6 on a non native 6to4 network on an Asus router. It worked on ipv6-test.com the other day but reloading the same settings it no longer works. Here are my settings

IPv4 Anycast Relay
192.88.99.1
Tunnel MTU
1280
Tunnel TTL
255

I have a IPv6 LAN address and am using TBB BQM to ping it and it responds (My Broadband Ping) but I cannot browse any IPV6 sites or test sites say no IPV6 address advertised. Any thoughts?

If you really want IPv6, switch to an ISP who support it natively.

It is planned with Uno just in the interim, it was working the other day.

Although it's not the same scenario, when my ISP (IDNet) started supporting native IPv6, my router (Airport Extreme) only supported it over 6to4... I found it more trouble than it was worth. When I switched to an Asus router that could handle it properly I had no problems that couldn't be ascribed to my own ignorance

That was several years ago so things may have changed but my advice still stands- if you want to use something then do it properly (or wait until it's available), don't use a bodge.

I tried to do it properly through Hurricane Electric tunnel-broker despite setting up a 6in4 London tunnel and copying and pasting the windows 10 command prompt tunnelling instructions it still didn't work. From what I have read a 6to4 is a bit of a bodge and the proper way without native is a 6in4 tunnel but neither seems to work and yet BQM is pinging my V6 address successfully. How strange.

What DNS servers are you using? If you are going to them using your IPv4 address then won't you get an IPv4 reply? Therefore not able to browse to an IPv6 site.

Can you reach a site given its IPv6 address?

Has your Modem / Router got the IPv6 from your ISP?

If so and if you are running Windows 10, try going into your network settings on your PC and disable IPv6 and apply all settings and close the Network Settings window fully.

Now go back into your Network Settings and enable back the IPv6 and apply all settings and fully close.

Do you now have IPv6 working?

I am with BT using a Linksys WRT 3200 ACM and I wasn't getting an IPv6 address from the router, the router was given the IPv6 from BT, and disabling and then enabling of Ipv6 resolved the issue and has been working since.

Granted I am using native IPv6 but it might work for you too.

Give me a site to test. test-ipv6.com says no. DNS: 2001:67c:16d0::1

Yea I don't get a IPV6 address from my ISP I get it from 192.88.99.1 which is the tunnel broker but for some reason it no longer works. My NIC card has an IPV6 address and I can ping it from the internet but the test site says no IPV6 address. Tried a network reset on Win 10 but still no go but the Status for my NIC card says "IPV6: Internet".

And as if by magic it has started working again after a re-sync by DLM.
