An update on this folks, I�ve spoken to BT about this who say I�ve also had the speedboost applied, they say I�m getting max my line can get, I believe that�s [censored]. I think my line can take up to 80mb. Anyone know how to check this? If I go to the infinity order page it says I can get up to 80

BT haven't upgraded you, they are talking rubbish as usual. You are still on 55/10 sync speeds. You need to convince them that you still need to be upgraded, best of luck!

Have you done a wired speed test as suggested?

If not, go and do one. Then post the results.

This all came about as I wanted to leave BT due to the price increase, they could not do anything about the price but the speed boost was the sweetener, If the speedboost doesn't work or my line cant handle anymore I may leave.

So, here you say the wired is coming in at 48 and another link shows it to be 50 - broadly similar.

You have an up to 55 Mbps which means that you would only get 52 Mbps throughput.

So, with a potential 52, and seeing 50, you are very close and at 5:30 in an evening when most school kids are home and overloading everything some minor congestion may occur. I would not be unhappy with 50, or even 48 in these circumstances.

Your low figures of 35 are almost certainly WiFi related and not the VDSL connection.

Agreed, except that the OP keeps insisting he has been given a �speed boost� from earlier stats it should do pretty much the full kahuna .... maybe they�ve just not actioned it yet ?

I agree it seems to be a wireless problem. The question is how do I fix it? We can be talking as much as a 20mb difference with only my phone using it. When the kids etc go on I�ve seen it as low as 12
