But his OP says:

"I know nothing about this guys so hopefully someone can help. I recently signed up to BT Infinity 1, a max 52mb. For the first 2 weeks I was getting a consistent 50mb, after the training period though its halved."

with stats that show him syncing at 55 ... and complaining he is at 30+.

If you kids are using it they obviously you will lose some more on te connection to your phone - the WiFi is also being shared and if it cannot serve a full 50+Mbps when you are the only user then there is a good chance it will be much the same with multiple users.

Start by proving exactly what each device can get using wired connections. then what they get when wireless.

Try rebooting the hub. Or reset it to default and start again.

Over Wi-Fi still?

What is the wireless device you are using for testing?

Also change the naming of the WiFi channels and get the test device to forget the existing BT Hub Wi-Fi channels and then only teach it about the one with the name that is for the 5GHz channel.

2.4 GHz can be highly congested from neighbours and other kit that uses the same band, but 5GHz is less affected and can also manage higher speeds, but it will not reach as far through walls.

If that is the BT Wholesale speed test then no point at all running it over a wireless connection, and it was never intended as a day to day speed tester

It was not clear, as you just said it was an IPv4 test.

It shows the 50 Mbps being reached but notice how the speeds dip away quickly, suggesting some congestion somewhere. Time to do tests at different times of day to see things improve when its not peak time

NOTE: No point doing any more wi-fi testing, as that adds a big variable, Ethernet is more reproducible

Forget about the "training period", it doesn't exist.
